From Law to Design: The Inspiring Journey of Alexandra Soria Castillo, Founder of CASOAL

From Madrid to Switzerland via Milan, the designer behind CASOAL shares her creative path and her vision for designs that unite functionality, elegance, and personal freedom.

When Alexandra Soria Castillo talks about her brand CASOAL, her eyes light up with the passion of someone who has truly found her path. CASOAL is more than a bag brand — it’s the result of a brave reinvention, born from the desire to transform the everyday into something extraordinary.

Born in Madrid, Alexandra now divides her world between Swiss precision and Italian elegance. Interestingly, her story didn’t begin in design studios, but in law school: she studied Law before listening to that inner voice that pushed her to change direction entirely.

At the age of 30, she moved to Milan to study fashion at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni, marking a turning point toward design and creative entrepreneurship. Today, with CASOAL, she seamlessly blends the best of three worlds into each piece: Mediterranean lightness, Italian design, and Swiss engineering.

📍 This month you can meet her in person at Blickfang Zurich, the international fair for independent design, from November 14–16. CASOAL will be at stand 064 in the Gartensaal, showcasing exclusive novelties and new combinations that redefine functional style.
